Anyware shuffles the management deck

Former TL Systems general manager Joshua Smith has replaced Peter de Wever as country manager of peripherals distributor Anyware.

De Wever and wife Nicole de Wever, who was the sales and marketing manager, are returning to Australia to take up roles with Anyware there. They began in the local office mid-2006.

While saying it is too soon to spell-out his plans in the new role, Smith says a long-standing relationship between the two companies led to his appointment.

“Anyware has been a supplier [to TL Systems] since they started here. Apparently they always had an eye on me to do something else.”

Smith spent eight years at TL Systems, an Auckland-based PC assembler, beginning in a technical role and progressing to customer service before becoming general manager.

Peter de Wever will return to New Zealand every three months in his new job as the trans-Tasman TP Link product manager, while Nicole de Wever becomes state retail manager among Harvey Norman stores in Victoria and Tasmania, and I-Rocks product manager.

TL Systems says it now won’t have a general manager, but has replaced Smith with senior technician Andrew Muckle.
