Sun award gives Eagle wings

Eagle Technology Group has won the New Zealand Partner of the Year title at Sun Microsystems’ annual partner awards for 2007, held in Sydney last December.

Pictured are Sun’s Australia/New Zealand partner sales director Sam Srinivasan (left) and former ANZ managing director Jim Hassell (right) presenting Eagle Technology’s Duane Eagle with the award.

Other New Zealand winners were Open Systems Specialists, whom won Most Innovative Partner of the Year, and Computer Concepts for Rookie of the Year.

The partner awards are held in conjunction with the annual Partner Executive Forum, where partners hear about Sun’s strategy, focus for the year ahead, latest technologies and the Sun Partner Advantage programme, as well as getting a chance to network. More than 90 people attended.
