KWorld, a Taiwanese-based, computer peripherals vendor, has set up shop in Canberra with the intention of growing its presence in the Australia and New Zealand market.
Regional sales manager Carla Bridge has been appointed to lead the new office and says the company already has a relationship with Australian company Electus Distribution, which operates an office in Christchurch.
“We will be working with Electus to maintain and grow this relationship in the coming year. However, we will also be looking for new distribution partners to help us grow our market share in different channels,” says Bridge.
These channels may include major retail outlets, computer stores and the online market. “It’s a new area for KWorld and we’ll be looking at each new distributor as we go along.”
Bridge adds that KWorld is aware there are opportunities in the New Zealand market it hasn’t taking advantage of. “I’ll be looking at developing benefits for partners and creating a partner programme.”
KWorld produces a range of wireless PC and TV devices, along with video capture and music capture/editing equipment.
