Sun gets new ANZ head

Sun Microsystems has appointed Duncan Bennet to the role of vice president and managing director for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). Bennet has taken up the permanent position after a three-month acting period.

Bennet joined Sun ANZ through the Forte Software acquisition in 1999.

Prior to this current role, Bennet held a number of positions at Sun including director of sales and the managing director of Sun's software joint venture with Netscape called iPlanet.

Bennet has a Bachelor of Business degree majoring in Data Processing from Massey University in New Zealand.
