Kiwibank seeks pilot for kiosk solution

Kiwibank is looking for vendors to deliver hardware and software for a self-service kiosk pilot.

In request for information (RFI) documents released this week, the company says it wants the solution to be developed for the New Zealand Post retail network.

The New Zealand Post retail network has more than 300 shops across the country and the kiosk will be designed to improve customer experience and reduce queue waiting for customers who require simple transactions.

The RFI states that the technology must offer both online and offline transactions for BillPay products along with motor vehicle registration and road user charge top-up. It must also interface with New Zealand Post’s retail system.

The objective of the pilot is to confirm the benefits and feasibility of providing self service kiosks in the post shop environment.

The deadline for replies is Tuesday, May 6. More information is available on the Government Electronic Tenders website under ICCNZ reference 21613.
