Hastings District Council seeks Blade vendor

The Hastings District Council is on the hunt for a vendor or vendors to provide SAN, Blade and back-up hardware and software.

According to RFP (request for proposal) documents released this week, the council needs its current Direct Attached Disk-based production environment replaced with a SAN-based Blade system.

The Council employs 350 staff and requires a solution that is also certified for VMWare, Windows Server 2003/2008 and Linux Fedora Core.

This will be a one-off contract. The deadline for replies is Wednesday, May 21. More details are available on the Government Electronic Tenders website under ICCNZ reference 21754.
