Library Consortium seeks hardware vendor

The Library Consortium of New Zealand is tendering for hosting and facilities management services of its IT environment. It also wants the vendor to set up and operate a disaster recovery environment.

The Library Consortium is owned by Auckland University of Technology, Victoria University, Waikato University and Otago University. The existing IT environment is the Voyager application running on an Oracle database using a Sun Microsystems hardware platform.

The successful vendor will need to work with its library software provider, Ex Libris, to provide integrated support to the libraries and manage the Voyager application upgrades. It must also have the capacity to respond to any system failures.

The deadline for replies is Monday, June 23. More details are available on the Government Electronic Tenders website under ICCNZ reference 22015.
