Navy hunts for project services supplier

The Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) in Auckland is tendering for a supplier of IT project services. According to documents released this week, the RNZN wants proposals from companies that can provide these services plus a wide range of contracting and consulting staff.

The RNZN’s fleet of the future will be involved in higher levels of multi-agency focused operations with the introduction of project protector vessels so the RNZN will be handling several IT projects over the next two years. It may need specialist project staff to resource them.

The RNZN requires suppliers with a significant presence in Auckland who can specialise in providing IT contracting staff and services. The supplier will need to demonstrate ability in services such as project management, information management, business analysis, web technologies and collaboration tools.

The deadline for replies is Wednesday, June 18. More details are available on the Government Electronic Tenders website under ICCNZ reference 22066.
