Red Education adds Aruba to training list

Red Education, the training arm of Distribution Central, has added Aruba Networks to the list of vendors it provides training for on both sides of the Tasman.

Sydney-based Red Education sales director Rob Howard says its training partnerships with vendors including F5, Blue Coat and Fortinet helped the company secure the Aruba agreement.

“There’s a lot of synergies between the vendors we already carry and Aruba. They’ve got a very heavy focus on security.”

The company will provide Aruba’s four day, on-site Advanced Design and Operations course, a pre-requisite for those who undertake the Certified Mobility Professional or Certified Mobility Expert qualifications.

The training covers wireless network design and security, LAN design, administration, troubleshooting, network redundancy, authentication, encryption, firewalls, guest access and remote access.

Both partners and end-users can undertake the training, with partners given discounts to offer to their clients.

Aruba’s Australia/New Zealand regional manager Greg Barnes says the company wants to grow the relationship with Red Education to cover all its training courses. He agrees Red Education’s prior experience was the main reason for its appointment.
