Parliamentary Service tenders for WAN vendor

The Parliamentary Service in Wellington wants to install a Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure.

According to request for information (ROI) documents released this week, the Service is tasked to connect 140 out-of-Parliament offices to the Wellington campus, implement centralised management support and standardise the technology.

The ROI states that the vision is to minimise the differences in computer experience for staff working in offices and those on the campus. The Service needs a supplier who can provide enhanced communication, cost efficiencies and deliver new services such as VoIP and video conferencing.

The deadline for replies is Friday, August 1. More details are avaliable on the Government Electronic Tenders website under ICCNZ reference 22572.
