Distribution Central resellers to wrestle for trip prize

Fortinet and NetApp will join last year’s participating vendors F5, Bluecoat and Watchguard at Distribution Central’s annual Mania executive networking conference in November.

The distributor’s top 10 resellers from across New Zealand and Australia are this year being offered a trip to Japan, where Sumo wrestling training is among the scheduled activities.

Marketing director Nick Verykios says vendor interest this year has been high, while good business in New Zealand could see more local resellers making the trip.

“It’s all about the vendors and the resellers networking and getting much closer than they could in a normal environment,” he says.

In previous years, resellers have been taken to Thailand, New York and New Orleans.

Partners have until 30 September to make the eligible sales.

Meanwhile, Distribution Central has recently hired two local staff – an engineer and a salesperson.
