Correspondence School seeks two IT system upgrades

Correspondence School seeks two IT system upgrades

The Correspondence School in Wellington is seeking proposals for the supply of a Student Management System (SMS) and an Online Teaching and Learning Environment (OTLE) solution. According to request for proposal (RFP) documents released this week, the school has commenced a programme to deliver a new technology platform.

The SMS will provide registry plus teacher and student administration functions, such as student demographic data. It may also be used to manage the warehousing and dispatch of student learning resources.

Teaching staff will use the OTLE to deliver distant education to its students as a blend of online and offline approaches. The OTLE will also be used to improve access to education and promote a socially inclusive culture.

The RFP also states that vendors can apply for either one or both systems. The deadline for replies is Monday, September 15.

More details are avaliable on the Government Electronic Tenders website under ICCNZ reference 22871.
