Chan replaces de Wever for TP Link

Former Anyware New Zealand country manager and TP Link trans-Tasman product manager Peter de Wever has left the company to join another peripherals distributor, Audion, the Australian parent company of Digital Blue.

De Wever says he was looking for a change after five years with Anyware in New Zealand and Australia, though his role has yet to be confirmed. It will be Australian based.

Edward Chan has taken de Wever’s Australia and New Zealand TP Link management role at Anyware, after serving as the company’s account manager for various products across New South Wales.

Chan says he was looking for a role with national responsibilities and plans to visit New Zealand once a quarter.

“We believe we can build up the market. The figures are looking very good over there for the brand itself.

“Against other brands we have a bit of work to do, because there are many strong brands.”

Prior to joining Anyware, Chan was the Creative Labs product manager for Australian distributor Achieva Technologies.
