Chrome shines for 1.86 percent of Reseller readers

Nearly two percent of Reseller.co.nz readers are already using Google’s Chrome web browser, which was launched only two days ago.

The company made the in-beta version of Chrome available for download on Wednesday morning, and an analysis of weblogs for Fairfax Business Media sites reveals that 1.86 percent of Reseller News readers are browsing the site with the new browser.

By contrast 61.72 percent of browsers are using Internet Explorer, with 28.68 percent browsing with Firefox. Apple’s Safari accounts for 5.62 percent of browsers.

The full breakdown of Google Chrome users by Fairfax Business Media sites is:

Computerworld: 2.30%

Reseller News: 1.86%

JobUniverse: 1.85%

FairfaxBM: 1.65%

PC World: 1.59%

CIO: 0.60%

The analysis period is from September 3 until today.
