Comworth Systems has clinched two new exclusive distribution deals. The company has secured local rights to US-based Microboard CD/DVD production systems and Japanese vendor Taiyo Yuden’s CD and DVD media. According to Comworth with the addition of two new brands to its stable, which already includes Rimage disk publishers, the company now boasts a full CD and DVD production offering. This ranges from CD/DVD towers for manual duplication to all-in-one printer/recorder systems for CD/DVD publishing. Comworth will stock Microboard’s range of disk printers, producers and duplicators, which general manager Mark Charlesworth says removes the need for companies to outsource their CD or DVD production. “With Microboards it is cost effective to publish your own disks, when you need them and how often you need them. There is no reason to outsource or have unprofessional looking disks.” Taiyo Yuden meanwhile is said to be a pioneer in the development of the recordable CD, while its master grade CD and DVD products have a guaranteed archival life of 100 years. Its line-up includes Watershield media, which Comworth says is unique as it delivers glossy, water-resistant results from inkjet disk printers.
