Parliamentary Service in market for new SAN

The Parliamentary Service in Wellington is looking for a supplier to install a new Storage Area Network (SAN).

According to request for proposal (RFP) documents released this week, the Parliamentary Service's production SAN will soon be out of its support period and needs replacing.

The government organisation's tape library backup facility is also outdated and will be upgraded as well.

The RFP states the successful supplier will have further work when the Parliamentary Service moves its other SAN to a hosting facility in Auckland next fiscal year.

The deadline for replies is Tuesday, October 28. More details are available on the Government Electronic Tenders website under ICCNZ reference 23632.
