Vendors all aboard for Ontrack enterprise platform

Ontrack (New Zealand Rail Corporation) in Wellington is looking for vendors to provide an enterprise mobility platform. Enterprise mobility is the use of technology that enables a company to mobilise components of day-to-day business. It reduces dependency on fixed office locations.

According to expression of interest documents released this week, Ontrack aims to use the platform to provide field workers with IT tools that make them work better. It will also open up the enterprise systems and services to be accessed remotely.

The successful vendor will need to help Ontrack manage the mobile users demand for applications and services.

The deadline for replies is Friday, October 31. More details are available on the Government Electronic Tenders website under ICCNZ reference 23652.
