Telecom Wholesale signs Aussie reseller

Australian telecommunications wholesaler and reseller Telcoinabox has signed an agreement with Telecom 's wholesale business for supply of fixed wire services.

Telcoinabox plans to replicate the success of its full-service Australian wholesale-to-resale business model to local business customers here in New Zealand, including individuals, ISPs, utilities and other large organisations.

The two companies are currently in discussions regarding other services that could be made available through Telcoinabox.

In a statement Telcoinabox managing director, Damian Kay says Telecom Wholesale was impressed by the company’s track record in the reseller space in Australia and were keen to join forces.

“We have spent the past 12 months expanding and upgrading our internal infrastructure, and companies like Telecom can see that we are a serious player. Large carriers want to be associated with resellers that offer a robust solution, as it is a reflection of their brand.”

Kay says the company offers an all-in-one solution including network access billing, provisioning and CRM systems that are easy to integrate into carriers’ systems.

"This is a compelling proposition for telco carriers who supply to us. It means their brand is put in front of customers that receive a product that is seamless. For the New Zealand market, what we offer is new and this factor alone positions the company as being associated with innovation.”

Telecom Wholesale’s head of Business Development, Berend Metz, says he was pleased Telcoinabox chose it as a supplier of choice.

“Telcoinabox bring a new, franchise-based operating model to the market and we’re delighted to be supporting the launch of its innovative service in New Zealand."
