ProvencoCadmus teams up with SmartPay

ProvencoCadmus’ retailers have access to a range of broadband services, following an agreement to distribute payments processing provider SmartPay’s IP-POS (Internet provider point of sale) service.

Retailers will also be able save costs by connecting to the Paymark Eftpos network via a standard broadband connection, rather than having an additional telephone line.

As part of this deal ProvencoCadmus has integrated the IP-POS service into its latest AC8000 eftpos terminal, offering the product to both its distribution channels and via the company's direct sales force.

In a statement SmartPay managing director Ian Bailey says expected sales of the IP-POS configuration are likely to be significant, as more than 65,000 retailers upgrade from fixed-line dialup to broadband.

He adds that the current dialup eftpos network is going to be progressively removed from service, as newer broadband options are introduced.
