Firstservis secures 3Tera distributorship

Australian IT company firstservis has become the A/NZ master distributor for US-based 3Tera’s cloud computing platform.

Firstservis will be working with resellers and hosted services providers to help them sell the AppLogic technology. The company is seeking to appoint local resellers with a focus on enterprise organisations, government departments, datacentres and the Citrix market.

Firstservis director Gavin Keeley says the potential benefits of AppLogic to resellers include improved margins, the opportunity to differentiate and access to a new customer base.

He adds that providing cloud-based services allows hosting companies to bring a new level of security to their services, so they can better serve enterprise-level customers.

3Tera senior vice-president of sales and marketing, Bert Armjio, says firstservis’ knowledge of the local market makes it a great partner to deliver cloud-based offerings in the region.

Cloud computing allows companies to focus on building applications, instead of configuring hardware or installing software.
