Sonicwall has introduced New Zealand partners to its next-generation Email Security and continuous data protection (CDP) products.
The vendor, along with distributor Renaissance, hosted channel events in Auckland and Wellington last week, to detail version 5 of Sonicwall CDP (which is based on a new hardware platform and incorporates a new firmware build) and Email Security version 7, says Sonicwall’s Australia/New Zealand channel manager Dean Redman.
The latest Email Security offering builds in new IP address recognition features to let users know if an electronic message is from a reputable source, says Redman.
Sonicwall also introduced a new mid-market firewall product, however details were not set to be released until January next year.
In addition, the vendor updated partners on its security predictions for next year. It tips increased vulnerabilities in applications with the greater prevalence of faster ADSL2+ broadband connectivity, Redman says.
He adds Sonicwall wants to get partners’ feedback on its products.
