Dove ramps up server play

Dove Electronics is bolstering its server offerings, providing the entire range of Full Electronics’ server cases at each of its branches.

The distributor’s Auckland branch manager Rick Jansen says it has offered some of the products before, but will now stock the whole suite nationwide. “It’s an effort by us to broaden our appeal,” he says. “The server area hasn’t been our market before.”

The Full Electronics agency, along with UPSs and server cabinets, was a natural progression after Dove moved into network cabling with the adoption of Digitus cables. The Digitus line was part of its acquisition of another distributor, IT Computer Products, a year ago.

Jansen says Dove achieved a four-fold increase in sales after taking Digitus on.
