Altech's New Zealand business is poised for a changing of the guard, with former Asus product manager and channel sales representative Ken Liu set to take over as branch manager.
Johnson Koo, who has headed the local operation since it branched across the Tasman last March, says he is resigning and will leave Altech in March. He adds at this stage he has no new position to take up when his current role finishes. Liu began at Altech at the beginning of this year, Koo says.
Asus' former product manager Wendy Wood, meanwhile, says the PC vendor made her redundant three days before Christmas.
She says her departure, along with Liu's, reduces local headcount from nine to about seven.
Reseller News hasn't yet been able to reach Liu or Asus' Australia/New Zealand managing director Ted Chen for comment.
