Soft Solutions expands portfolio

Following last month’s deal with Atempo, Soft Solutions has now signed as a distributor for Perth-based company WebSpy, a global vendor of internet monitoring, analysis and reporting software.

According to WebSpy’s website, Soft Solutions is the only local distributor. The terms of the agreement state that the company will act as WebSpy’s preferred distributor.

Soft Solutions managing director Chris Fitzgerald is looking forward to having the brand in its stable of agencies.

“In cost-conscious times internet bandwidth is a valuable resource,” says Fitzgerald. “Resellers will be able to demonstrate to their customers how an investment in this technology will offer immediate savings. When you want to know who is downloading what, browsing where, and for how long, then WebSpy delivers a quick and easy solution, with support for almost every log file format in use today.”

WebSpy COO Lagis Zavros says New Zealand boasts one of the world’s highest ICT expenditures per capita and a rapidly expanding sector. “It is imperative for WebSpy to work with an established local distributor with strong product knowledge to successfully increase our current market share.”

Zavros adds that WebSpy’s solutions provide a strategic fit with Soft Solutions’ current portfolio. “Soft Solutions’ value-added abilities are indisputable and our distribution agreement will without doubt benefit both parties of the agreement, resellers and customers alike.”

Malwarebytes shoots the breeze with channel, prospects

A Kumeu, Auckland, winery was the venue for a Malwarebytes event for partner and prospect MSPs - with some straight shooting on the side. The half-day getaway, which featured an archery competition, lunch and wine-tasting aimed at bringing Malwarebytes' local New Zealand and top and prospective MSP partners together to celebrate recent local successes, and discuss the current state of malware in New Zealand. This was also a unique opportunity for local MSPs to learn about how they can get the most out of Malwarebytes' MSP program and offering, as more Kiwi businesses are targeted by malware.
