Canon’s Manson wins Australian role

Canon’s Manson wins Australian role

Canon’s New Zealand managing director Craig Manson has filled the vendor’s newly-created role of senior general manager of marketing in Australia. Manson will vacate his current position on 1 April, when he will shift to Sydney. Canon says it will search for a replacement for the New Zealand leadership role until then.

The company says it is trading well and forecasts ongoing profit across Oceania in 2009. “We have conducted extensive customer research that highlights significant opportunities for us in New Zealand and Australia, despite the tough economic conditions,” says Manson. “In fact, many of our technologies and services are in greater demand with our business and consumer customers. We need to take advantage of that by putting the correct business model in place.”
