Sybase and Randtronics partner up

Sybase has partnered with encryption company Randtronics to promote its mobile device management suite, Afaria, to local businesses. The suite will be embedded in Randtronics’ wireless encryption offerings.

Founded in 2002, Randtronics is based in Sydney and also operates offices in Malaysia, Korea, China and India.

Afaria, which is part of Sybase’s iAnywhere product suite, was chose by Randtronics to complement its own encryption software.

Sybase A/NZ channel and alliances director Steve Dolan says enterprise mobility is a hot growth area.

“More confidential information is being stored on mobile devices, and organisations are looking for proven and tested solutions to secure and manage their digital assets in a wireless environment.”

Randtronics president and CEO Bob Adhar says with Afaria built into its encryption offerings, customers have the tools at hand to effectively manage their mobile fleet from a single, web-based console.
