Local Nortel now a few more weapons in their arsenal, under a new Channel Incentive Programme (CIP).
nPower partners who focus on the SMB market now have access to a tiered rebate programme linked to targets. Credits can be used against purchases of Nortel’s enterprise products.
The company claims the programme will offer strategic reseller and distribution partners a plan which rewards them for performance against their quarterly revenue targets, enabling them to increase margin.
Nortel has also launched a free presales training programme called ‘Design Boot Camp’.
The theory-based courses cover a range of topics that span Nortel’s product lines, including IP PBXs, contact centres, unified communications and wireless networking.
According to the company, this is designed to equip channel partners with the necessary skills to pitch for new business using Nortel products without having to pay for additional training.
