Capital and Coast District Health Board (CCDHB) in Wellington is after an enterprise-level monitoring system offering for its ICT infrastructure.
According to request for proposal documents released this week, its engineers do not have all the information they need for critical systems' maintenance and to identify failure points and take automated corrective action.
The few experts the board has available get pulled into more troubleshooting, which means they have less time for new ventures and more productive tasks, according to tender documents.
CCDHB relies on computers, networks, applications and databases to ensure the hospitals are operating efficiently. The offering should minimise hospital downturn, allow ICT operations to shift from reactive to proactive mode and reduce incident downtime.
The deadline for replies is Monday, April 20. More details are available on the Government Electronic Tenders website under ICCNZ reference 25542.
