Adam Baldwin has replaced Bruce Thierbach as Auckland-based general manager of JB Hi-Fi, which also owns the electrical chain Hill & Stewart. Baldwin was previously in a Sydney-based role with the company.
Baldwin says Thierbach has returned to Sydney to become the general manager of JB H-Fi’s Australian discount whiteware and electrical business, Clive Anthony’s.
Thierbach had only expected to be in New Zealand for a three-month tenure but ended up staying for 13 months. In that time, says Baldwin, Thierbach “did a great job” of building up the JB Hi-Fi buying team and strengthening its sales force.
Baldwin says he has only been in his new role as GM for a week.
