Vodafone customers get access to Bebo

Vodafone is ramping up its mobile content offerings by making Bebo Open Mobile Messaging available to customers.

The messaging service is a global programme for mobile operators, handset manufacturers and mobile software developers. Bebo is a popular social networking site with teenagers and young adults.

Vodafone users who have a Bebo profile will receive text message alerts directly to their mobile phones, and will be able to update Bebo profiles, add photos to their gallery and interact with friends on the site via their phones.

'Beboers' can now get SMS text updates sent to their Vodafone mobiles for free and for 20 cents per text, update their pages directly via SMS when they’re out and about.

Customers can sign up for this service through the mobile section of the Bebo website.
