Department of Labour makes telephony connections

The Department of Labour needs a vendor to supply eight Primary Rate Access (PRA) connections and associated 0800 calling plans.

According to request for tender documents released this week, the corporate group has purchased a telephony application for its four contact centres which is being implemented and will be ready by July this year. The Department needs the PRA connections to make the new system work. The 0800 calling plans are part of a cost saving measure as the contact centres take approximately 107,000 calls per month.

Five of the PRAs will deliver services to its Auckland data centre while the other three PRAs will deliver services to the Wellington data centre. Later this year, the Auckland data centre will be moving from Nelson Street in the CBD, to a data centre in Albany.

The deadline for replies is Tuesday 28 April. More details are available on the Government Electronic Tenders website under ICCNZ reference 25702.
