Websense says its partners will get more effective lead generation now they have access to the same functionality the vendor gets from its Salesforce.com deployment.
The vendor has included a page on its partner portal using Salesforce, so businesses can better track and manage registered deals by using quarterly reports.
In addition, partners can use the portal to register for market development funds, and Websense uses the system to track the success of each marketing campaign it offers.
Australian-based partner alliance manager Daniel Crnkovich says many of its partners already use Salesforce.com. The added online functionality “enhances our relationship with the partner and proves the value add of doing a campaign with Websense”, he says.
Websense is presenting seminars in Auckland and Wellington in May as part of a roadshow to launch its V100000 web gateway security appliance. At the roadshows it will also cover the Web 2.0 landscape and demonstrate the appliance.
