IT Rockstar entries close soon

Candidates for the second IT Rockstar competition should get their rock moves on as the competition closes on Friday, May 22.

To be involved in the competition, a potential IT Rockstar can be nominated or nominate themselves. According to organisers Ninetwenty Career Agents, the criteria is simple. People may have developed a piece of code, fixed a nasty bug that no one else could fix or delivered a multi-million dollar project on time.

Candidates can upload a short video clip or write a 500 word pitch.

The judging panel this year includes Optimation CEO Rhoda Holmes, Axon CEO Scott Green, Microsoft NZ NTO Brett Roberts and last year’s winner Adam Brown, founder of First In and Yellow Fever websites.

The grand prize is an all expenses paid trip to the IT equivalent of Glastonbury such as Technoisum or CeBIT to the value of $10,000.
