Integrated power and cooling services vendor APC has launched a new Trade-UPS programme that allows customers to trade in their old single-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), regardless of brand, for a new model.
According to the company the aim of the programme is to help businesses beat downtime by making it easy and cost effective to upgrade to the latest APC UPS technology, while saving money and protecting the environment.
Customers will receive a rebate on the product, including a full two-year warranty.
APC New Zealand country manager Andrew Kirker says the company has many local customers that have purchased UPS technology over the past 10 years, most of which is well past its use-by date.
"The programme is designed to help our resellers engage with those customers and secure repeat sales."
He adds that the new upgrade programme is one of several initiatives APC will be rolling out in 2009 to drive more value and demand for its customers and channel community.
