Nortel goes after road warriors with UC promo

Telco vendor Nortel has launched a channel promotion aimed at mobile users.

The BCM (Business Communications Manager) Warrior promotion is for channel partners and offers savings on unified communications functionality for SME customers of Nortel.

BCM Warrior is split into two categories; Mobile Warrior and Road Warrior, depending on the features purchased. Mobile Warrior includes Nortel’s unified messaging functionality at a reduced price, while Road Warrior includes unified messaging, along with additional IP and phone licensing.

The additional features connect mobile executives to their voicemails and emails when on the road.

The promotion is open to all existing users of Nortel’s BCM 50, 200, 400 and 1000 IP PBX products, and will be available until Tuesday, June 30.

The promotion also entitles BCM users to the latest BCM50 or BCM450 platforms, and a combination of hardware and software discounts for existing BCM 200, 400 and 1000 users. According to the company, this will give businesses the option to move up to the latest versions of BCM software at no extra cost if they buy additional features – such as unified messaging or IP phones for these platforms.
