Top 10 IT rockstars chosen

The top 10 entries for the IT rockstar competition have been tallied up by organisers 920 Career Agents.

The 10 were chosen by visitors to the IT rockstar website.

Coming in first is Josh Waihi, who is working on keeping an open source content management system called Drupal free.

Other rockstars come from companies such as TradeMe and Digirama. An 18-year-old woman developer called Anjileen Daji has made it to eighth place with a local social networking site called enzed live.

The top 10 will get downsized to five so vote for your favourite rockstar online. Voting closes on Friday, June 29.

The IT rockstar will win an all expenses paid trip to the value of $10,000 to an IT equivalent of Glastonbury such as Technoisum or CeBIT.
