Rosenberg steps up to Datastor CEO role

Datastor sales and marketing manager Dave Rosenberg has filled the distributor’s newly-created CEO position, one of a number of promotions designed to strengthen leadership and team cohesion.

Owner Vic Dickerson recently became executive director, while technical services manager Otto le Roux is now a principal consultant, similar to a chief technology officer role, says Rosenberg. Services coordinator Hayden Baker has stepped up to be services delivery manager.

“The CEO role is designed to put together a strong leadership team and drive the business to the next level,” Rosenberg says.

He adds he now has official charge of a number of areas he has previously been involved with, including services, finance and human resources.

Datastor has modified its services business, and moved its pre-sales staff to under the auspices of the wider sales team to ensure “that the business continues to be one large sales organisation and one team with a combined goal,” says Rosenberg.

“The services area is focused on service delivery, which encompasses support and SLAs, and filling the gaps as reseller need us. That goes for vendors as well.”

Mark Baker continues as northern region sales manager, while the distributor is seeking to fill the southern region sales manager role. It also has a vacancy for a financial controller.
