SmartPay appointed sole Pax distributor

Electronic product distribution and payments processing provider SmartPay has been appointed the exclusive local distributor of Pax eftpos terminals.

Pax is one of the largest manufacturers of payment terminals in the world with products in more than 20 countries. The company offers a wide range of eftpos terminals including wireless and mobile products.

SmartPay managing director Ian Bailey says the ability to distribute Pax terminals will open up opportunities in the local market.

“We are developing the software required to get full certification from the New Zealand Banking Association. This is expected to be completed by September 2009 with Pax products on the market before Xmas.”

The Pax terminals will also connect to the broadband IP-POS service offered by SmartPay.
