Tracking certificate database in development

Environmental Risk Management Authority (ERMA) is tendering to develop a database for managing and tracking test certificates called Snuffy. The name is not an acronym and links to other systems used by ERMA.

Test certificates are issued for hazardous materials such as fireworks.

The new test certificates database will be used by ERMA to store information associated with the certificates. Test certifiers gather information out in the field which they use to determine whether an organisation, person, system or equipment meet legislative requirements.

A test certifier then issues a valid test certificate when he or she is satisfied that the requirements have been met.

The deadline for replies is Monday, July. More details are available on the Government Electronic Tenders website under ICCNZ reference 26398.
