Prime Minister John Key will be a guest speaker at an event next week showcasing Ricoh's refreshed Wellington premises. Ricoh says it has made significant investment in the "techno-makeover" of the premises, now called the Ricoh Wellington Technology Centre. The office and showroom have been refurbished. Other invited guests include current and former Wellington mayors Kerry Prendergast and Mark Blumsky, prominent local sportspeople, and Ricoh staff and customers. Ricoh says its facility will be a valuable resource for Wellington businesses, showcasing how they can use innovative hardware and software to achieve greater productivity. “The Prime Minister has clearly signalled the government’s intentions to invest significantly in the infrastructure of telecommunications, particularly in the area of access to broadband. Ricoh sees an opportunity to assist the government in achieving the goals of marketing New Zealand products and services to a global market," says managing director Mike Pollok.
