Gigabyte Technology widens distributor reach

Taiwan based computing hardware company Gigabyte Technology has appointed Synnex as its third local distributor of mother boards and VGA cards, alongside Dove Electronics and PB Technologies.

According to Gigabyte Technology, the new appointment is expected to improve the local availability and after sale service for its PC components.

Managing director Alan Chen says New Zealand is an important market for Gigabyte due to the large percentage of early adopters of its technology.

“We are pleased to start working with Synnex and look forward to offering our customers the best quality products with the best quality distribution and service.”

Synnex country manager Richard Harri says the two companies have enjoyed a 20 year relationship at the headquarter level.

“Synnex New Zealand’s appointment will allow us to help each other continue to reach our mutual goals. Synnex will carry the entire range of motherboards and graphics cards and will be handling the warranty ourselves so that our customers will enjoy rapid replacement through the use of a swap pool of buffer stock.”
