DFL acquires Vcomms

Financial services firm DFL Group has acquired Vcomms, which develops, hardware, software and security offerings to wirelessly link Eftpos and ATM terminals with financial institutions. Vcomms customers include banks, telcos such as Telecom, Eftpos and ATM network service providers, systems integrators, equipment resellers and original equipment manufacturers. It has done business in Australia, France, Canada, Europe and Asia, and was incorporated in 2001. DFL Group managing director David DIckinson says, "The Vcomms Vista terminal adapter is more than just a simple modem and the business holds great potential as customers increasingly are looking to move from wired to wireless in a secure, reliable and cost effective manner." DFL Group includes DFL Distribution, which distributes Nautilus Hyosung ATMs exclusively in ANZ. It also includes ATM Plus, an accredited ATM deployer, and Cash Plus, an ATM deployer in Australia. It also includes TeRenCo Finance, which leases equipment to the enterprise and public sectors. The new business will trade as Vcomms Connect Ltd.
