More partners in to win as Lenovo revamps rewards

Lenovo has increased the number of places available to New Zealand and Australian resellers competing to win a trip, as part of the company's rewards programme. The greater number of trip places is part of a revamp of the incentive scheme, for which the name will change from Legends to Partner Advantage.

Although the destination has yet to be announced, 100 partners from both sides of the Tasman will be in-line to make the trip. Lenovo has not yet specified what percentage of the winners will be from New Zealand, but says its sales staff will also join the trip.

Last year, 20 ANZ partners took part in a trip to Melbourne for the Formula One Grand Prix, while in 2007, seven New Zealand partners won a place out of 42 from Australia and New Zealand, to travel to China.

“In the current financial climate we felt that it was important to refresh our programme with enhanced incentives and support for our channel partners,” says Australian-based senior marketing manager Sara Palmieri.

She adds Lenovo will continue to offer rewards of between $15 and $100 per resold box, loaded onto a New Zealand Post Prezzy card. It will also introduce “blitz weeks”, where at least double rewards dollars will be offered on “slow moving skus”, says Palmieri.

The Partner Advantage portal is being refreshed to include more marketing resources, training modules, price lists and product images, Lenovo says.

Partners from Australia and New Zealand qualified to win the Melbourne Grand Prix trip by reselling products between 1 October last year and 31 January this year.
