Canon will provide EMC content management and archiving products in New Zealand through its dealer network, and directly, under a new partner agreement.
Initially Canon will focus on sales of EMC’s Transactional Content Management, which includes accounts payable automation, contract lifecycle management and the Documentum xCelerated Composition Platform.
Canon’s national manager of integrated solutions, Tony Temaru, says it has created a strong sales platform for EMC Documentum, EMC Captiva and EMC Document Sciences offerings thanks to its 40-year history of doing business locally.
“In addition to our market penetration, Canon’s strengths lie in our experience in designing and implementing solutions for some of New Zealand’s leading businesses and organisations.”
EMC channel manager Vivienne Larsen says it selected Canon because of its specialisation in enterprise-level document management and because it can cover imaging, document management, business process integration, publishing and storage.
The current economic climate means increased demand for automation that provides cost cutting and efficiency.
“Canon has proven its strength in delivering information management solutions that meet these stringent business requirements,” says Larsen.
