WatchGuard launches recruitment drive after sales boost

Network security company WatchGuard Technologies has posted a 20 percent revenue increase for the financial year ending June 30 and is now on the hunt for more partners.

ANZ regional director Scott Robertson says the increase is due to companies continuing to invest in security.

“At the same time, we’re seeing plans made to bolster network security as we emerge from the downturn yet face ever-evolving network threats.”

The company plans to recruit at least 10 new partners and develop its distributor relationships with Firewall Systems, WhiteGold Solutions, Exeed and Packet Technologies.

“We’re looking to recruit reseller partners that can prove strong skills in selling best-of-breed security solutions and have a motivated team who would relish the opportunity to foster a strong and mutually beneficial relationship. These organisations may also have heightened expertise in VoIP which would be particularly attractive to WatchGuard right now,” says Robertson.

He adds that businesses ,both large and small, will have to evolve their security architecture to ensure that customers are safe from VoIP threats.
