HTC appoints ANZ master distributor

Mobile vendor, HTC, has assigned master distribution rights to JMB for Australia and New Zealand.

The partnership will see JMB provide accessory products to HTC’s stable of distributors, which includes Brightpoint, Cellnet and Force Technologies.

HTC sales and marketing director, Anthony Petts, says the vendor had identified the need to appoint a master distributor capable of providing access to products across all channels.

“We’re finding accessories are a good market opportunity at the moment, with people across all segments looking to branded accessories,” says Petts.

“JMB fits with the market coverage we’re looking for.”

JMB director, Will Phillips, says there are no plans to assign further distributors as the network is right at the moment.

HTC was appealing to the distributor because it is a major player in this field, he added.

“We specialise in PDA and smartphone accessories,” Phillips says.

“Retailers have recognised that branded accessories help to sell handsets.”
