The economic downturn has not slowed IBM premier business partner Certus Solutions.
In fact, the company has outgrown its two premises in Wyndham Street and Queen Street in Auckland’s CBD — with a move to a larger site in the PricewaterhouseCoopers tower.
“At the beginning of July we consolidated those offices and we are now on the 20th floor of the PricewaterhouseCoopers tower,” says director Brian Allen. “Our revenue has been growing at 50 percent per annum, but in terms of overall personnel we are going up to 100 personnel this year.” The company currently has 80 staff across its five ANZ sites.
Allen describes Certus as “IBM pure play”, saying the firm is looking for staff with IBM skills. He would not say when appointments would take place, but the company plans to recruit people in a variety of positions ranging from business development to senior consulting.
He says the company is growing both in New Zealand and Australia. In June the company acquired Australian firm Eos Solutions.
“We’re up 30 percent on the space we had across both [Auckland] sites and we have the ability to grow in the space we are in now.”
Founded in 1999, the company is also celebrating 10 years in the business.
