GNS Science seeks records management

GNS Science needs a vendor to supply an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).

According to tender documents released this week, its historical paper-based systems were well managed but a move to electronic systems weakened recordkeeping.

GNS Science now has a number of electronic record systems and wants to merge these into the EDRMS. Some physical records are currently managed or overseen by the GNS library using library software. Electronic records are stored on shared network drives. The EDRMS will be used at all of its sites in Lower Hutt, Wairakei and Dunedin. The EDRMS will be used by all staff, including contractors and collaborating scientists. The deadline for replies is Friday, September 4. More details are available on the Government Electronic Tenders website under ICCNZ reference 26956.
