Northland DHB seeks pharmacy information system

Northland DHB seeks pharmacy information system

To improve medical safety, Northland District Health Board (NDHB) requires a replacement Pharmacy Information System (PhIS). Its current system is over 15 years old.

According to tender documents, the NDHB wants the system to be a catalyst for change within its pharmacy department. With built in capabilities to check for drug interactions, patient allergies and other functions, the PhIS is meant to ensure medical safety.

The PhIS should also track medication inventories within the NDHB, including medications in the pharmacy department and those distributed in patient treatment areas.

The deadline for replies is Thursday, October 1. More details are available on the Government Electronic Tenders website under ICCNZ reference 27209.
