Tumbleweed gets boost from Observatory Crest

Valued added distributor Observatory Crest is ramping up its security presence following an ANZ distribution deal for Axway’s Tumbleweed brand.

The deal covers Axway’s secure file transfer, email encryption and identity validation products. Security companies Tumbleweed and Axway merged late last year.

Observatory Crest director Martin Christmas says the deal complements existing vendor partnerships with F5 and Arista Networks.

“Many of our customers using these [Axway] products are also F5 customers, so we see a great opportunity for our resellers to cross sell among the applications. We will help resellers to integrate the company’s technologies into their overall solutions, and provide additional professional services.”

Axway regional channels director David Jones says the deal will expand its ANZ reach.

“We feel confident this will give us the added leverage we’re looking for in growing our business significantly in the region.”
